Finalizing and Finishing Things for Econ

Here's everything you need to know about finishing up econ.  If you have any questions please email your teacher and ask.

Note that we would appreciate it if anything Econ related could be turned in to us by May 1.  If you have questions about that or anything else, please email your teacher and ask.  Don't assume.

Extra Credit Opportunities:

1) EOC Study Guide: You may turn in your EOC study guide for extra credit.  If you have it digitally, just email it to your teacher.  If you have a written version then either take a picture or scan the pages.  Then email them to either Mr. Baumann or Mr. Merrill.  This will still be extra credit.

2) Grade Improvement Opportunity:  If you want to (this is 100% optional), you may go on USATestprep and take a 50% summative test.  The grade you get on this test can impact your grade in one of two ways.

- If it is better than your test average (and thus will help your grade) it will go in as an extra credit test.  Consider it like a Unit 6 test.  It will be weighted the same as other tests.

- If it is better than your lowest test grade, it will replace your lowest test grade.  (Like the EOC would have.)

If you do not take this test, it will NOT impact your grade at all. You may only take this test once.  No multiple attempts.

If you do take this test, it CANNOT negatively impact your grade.  If you do well your grade will go up.  If you do poorly, your grade will remain the same.

If you have Zeroes in the Grade Book and/or are Missing Assignments:

1) If you are missing any classwork

If you have copies of the assignments, you can take a picture or scan them.  Then email them to either Mr. Baumann or Mr. Merrill.

If you do NOT have copies of some or all of the assignments then you can click on the Honors Econ - Class Resources link on the right hand column of this page.  There you will find links to all of the digital resources for each of the five units.  You can download and complete any of the items you are missing and then send all of your work for the unit to your teacher.

You still need to do the Out of the Box Assignments for the missing unit.  The instructions for OOB assignments are also on the class resources page.

2) If you are missing journals

If you have written copies of the journals, you can take a picture of them or scan them.  Then email them to either Mr. Baumann or Mr. Merrill.

If you typed your journals, just email them to your teacher.

If you do not have a copy of the journals, you can either: scroll through this blog and find all the journals for that unit; OR you can click the class resources link on the right hand side of this page and then click the link to download the journal prompts for whatever units you are missing.

3) If you are missing a quiz or a test.

Contact your teacher telling them you are taking a makeup test or quiz.  Then go to USATestprep.com take the Domain Test for the Unit that you need to make up.  Complete that domain test and that grade will go in as your test and/or quiz grade.  However, please be sure to note all of the following:

 - You must take this test at a date starting on April 5th or later.  You cannot use previous domain tests that you did for extra credit.

 - You also only get one attempt at earning this grade.  You CANNOT take the domain test over and over and just take the better grade.

 - That is why you must contact your teacher BEFORE you take the test/quiz.  Your teacher doesn't have to respond right away, but you should still immediately go take the domain test after sending your email.  In other words, when you send an email, that let's us know that we need to go look on USATestprep on that day and time to see what grade you made.  If you take a test first and then email us it will NOT count.  You can go and practice the domain test as many times as you'd like before emailing your teacher.  But once you have emailed, the very next test you take will be the one that counts.

4) If you are missing a project.

Email your teacher for what to do.
